Product Description Great product for teens as well as adults for education, discovery, work and fun.
This innovative microscope design allows you to view specimens or objects on a computer screen and allows you to take snapshot images or short videos. A rugged, metal stand is included for holding the microscope steady at various positions for viewing and/or imaging.
The microscope is ideally suited for examining objects such as coins, stamps, rocks, relics, insects, plants, gems, circuit boards, various materials, skin, and many other objects. Also, you can examine specimen slides at low and high powers.

Celestron Digital Microscope August 20, 2010 M. Onstott (Rocky Mountains, USA) Microscope works well and is easy to use. I had no focusing problems. I found that my digital camera was easier to use on jewelry, coins, etc because the zoom lens allowed me to be further from the object. The microscope stand limited the ability to move away from an object to increase the field of view. Might work well on a copy stand for example.
Celestron 44302 August 19, 2010 Michael C. Jones (WPB Florida) Great product for looking at coins, and then taking pictures for data base. The only thing that would help is an adjustable stand that is able to raise to about 14"
Windows 7 fix August 9, 2010 M. D. Reese (Nowhere, Alaska) I've had this microscope for awhile now and it is a lot of fun and easy to use. When I first got it, I had a laptop with Windows Vista and it installed easily. My new computer has Windows 7 and it would not work. There is a fix--and it's easy. Got to the manufacturer's website, click on "support", enter "microscope" in the search and you will find instructions on how to make it work.
Just BUY it! Worth DOUBLE the price in my opinion August 8, 2010 Discriminating Buyer in Colorado (Southwestern Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased a Celestron LCD microscope. It is fine for flat objects but fell short when I wanted to examine articles of some size such as 1/8" to 1/4". I bought this one and I am VERY VERY impressed with the value for the money. The software installation was a one minute error free job. It is extremely easy to use and I've found many uses for it in the few days I've owned it. I honestly would have been happy to spend DOUBLE for this item and feel good about it! It is one of the best purchases I've ever made and the BEST purchase when it comes to value for the dollar. The stand is small but well built and did not need any adjustment after many uses.
Quite cheap yet useful digital microscope August 7, 2010 Madafun 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The images you can get up to standard magnifications are quite fine, but you need a good computer with lots of RAM and a good graphic card to have a smooth image flow coming in. I guess with a USB 3.0 link, it would have been quite better. At high magnification, the quality is really not satisfactory, though.
